The Olympics and Paralympics have got everyone very excited about exercise and healthy eating! I was thinking about exercise and fitness and some of the things I do to keep my energy levels up during exercise. So here are my alkaline tips to give you energy while working out…
2. Eating quinoa as often as possible throughout the week will provide you with copious amounts of energy and help you to feel fresh throughout the week. It has the highest protein content out of all the grain as it is in fact a seed.
3. Choosing wholegrains over processed foods every time will always help to increase energy levels.
4. Drinking freshly juiced vegetables throughout the day and before a workout should give you an extra boost, rather than fruit juices as they are quite high in sugars.
5. Green smoothies are my favourite thing, before and after a workout. They cleanse all the toxins from your body and make you feel revitalized!
