A revolutionary discovery
with Drake & Morgan

We all know the moment when you’re the only one at your table that fancies a glass of that fine wine which only comes by the bottle, or the guilty feeling of opening a precious bottle for one or two glasses.

What do you do?

Drake & Morgan have come up with the answer; a technique to pour wine without actually opening the bottle.

Sound too good to be true? We thought so too before exploring the system they have in place.

Coravin is a revolutionary wine preservation system that allows you to have one or two glasses of that fine wine, whilst preserving the quality and flavour as the rest of the bottle continues to naturally age.

How does it work you ask?

Very simply; a thin, hollow needle slides through the foil and cork into the bottle, before the bottle is then pressurized with argon which pushes the wine back through the needle, without letting any oxygen into the bottle. Once the needle is removed, only argon is left in it’s place – no oxygen = no oxidation – the cork reseals itself and it’s as if nothing happened!

After ten years of testing and a trial conducted with over 160 top wine professionals from across the world, it’s safe to say that Drake & Morgan are on to a winner.

The revolutionary system is currently installed just within their city site The Anthologist and you can spot the wines on their menu by looking out for the Coravin logo, in the shape of a V.

This out of the box thinking is just one of the many reasons why Drake & Morgan have received the Butterfly Mark
