Each month Positive Luxury rounds-up our favourite picks from around the web – from the people that are inspiring us to the stories that got us talking. Plus what to look out for in the month ahead.
Our highlight of the month… The Pool’s Love Stories series
Sweet without being saccharine, this love-themed Valentine’s series is sure to warm the coldest of hearts. We’ve been cherishing the honest advice and wisdom from some of our favourite writers – including why Sali Hughes says her friends will always be the greatest loves of her life.
The trend we’re keeping an eye on… the return of the kitten heel
Talk of the fashion crowds this month, the kitten heel is somewhat controversially making a comeback. We’re glad to see they’re back, offering an everyday heel that is more practical than a stiletto for an easy day-to-night look. Plus, we love any trend that means we can re-use an item in our existing wardrobe!
We’ve been daydreaming of… David Hockney at Tate Britain
The bright colours and Spring vibes of David Hockney’s paintings have certainly got us in the mood for warmer weather. We can’t wait to head along to the retrospective at Tate Britain – particularly as brand to trust Robe de Voyage can be found in the giftshop.
We’ve been listening to… David Bowie
Despite passing away over a year ago, Bowie’s final album won all five Grammy’s it was nominated for this month. We’ve been reviving our love for the music and culture icon by listening to our favourite tracks from his extensive back catalogue.
We’ve been inspired by… Winnie Harlow
First finding fame on America’s Next Top Model, Winnie Harlow is the model to watch, having already walked for a number of top designer names this season. Living with skin condition vitiligo, Winnie is an inspiring advocate of body confidence and redefining beauty expectations.
We’ll be booking… afternoon tea at Selfridges’ wastED Pop-up
After finding success in New York, chef Dan Barber is bringing his wastED pop-up to Selfridges London. The thought-provoking concept will serve high-end dishes made from food waste from 24th February – 2nd April. Dinners are already fully booked, but there’s still time to reserve a space for lunch or afternoon tea.
