How did your love of fashion begin?

It probably happened when I was around 13 years old. My body started to change and I started to think more about the way I looked and what I wanted to wear. Before this, I only cared about comfortable clothes.

Around this age, I started to use the internet more and more and got inspired by all the beautiful runway shows. For someone coming from a small town in The Netherlands, fashion isn’t something interesting for most people.

I started buying magazines like Vogue, and I noticed that wearing what I wanted to wear made me more confident.

How would you describe your personal style?

My style is best described as minimal with a personal edge. I almost never wear any colours except for neutrals. 95% of my wardrobe exists from black, white and neutral items.

My style can change from time to time, I have periods that I only want to wear feminine outfits, but I also love some oversized jeans combined with sneakers.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

To stay true to myself, and only do (and wear) things that I love. It’s so exhausting to always have to think what other people might think of you, and if they will like you or not.

What are your favourite Positive Luxury brands to trust?

Loewe: the Loewe Puzzle bag has been on top of my wishlist for ages. I love Loewe because their designs are timeless and their shows inspire me tremendously.

Sergio Rossi: One of my favourite shoe brands. I love to wear minimal outfits, a pair of Sergio Rossi can turn a casual outfit into something interesting.

Christian Dior: Christian Dior has been one of my favourite brands as long as I can remember. I can’t stop looking at their Cruise 2018 show, it’s literally perfect!

What is your personal luxury that you couldn’t live without?

Definitely my Louis Vuitton Artsy bag, it’s my everyday bag. I also love my Gucci loafers, they’re the most comfortable shoes ever, I wear them at least 3 times a week.
