The Ozone Way

This morning we were lucky enough to attend an exclusive tasting at the latest coffee venue to hit Shoreditch, Kiwi import ‘Ozone’. Founded in New Zealand in 1998, Ozone prides itself on sourcing the highest quality coffee, from reputable farms, in a variety of countries. As members of the ‘Cup of Excellence’ programme they pay a premium for their coffees, which in turn benefits the growers. Recycling is encouraged in everything from their cups to the fit-out of their roastery, which boasts an impressively large roasting machine- enabling customers to watch the transition from bean to cup.

Bare brick walls, exposed pipes and cosy lighting give the interior a quirky, industrial feel perfect for east London and a menu offering everything from eggs on toast to Szchewan pepper squid make this the ideal brunchtime bolt hole. A stone’s throw away from Old Street station, it’s the perfect place for grabbing a morning pick me up without resorting to the same old chain- particularly great for us at Positive Luxury being only a few doors down. Small and independent businesses make London a more colourful and diverse place to be, so whether it’s a quick bite, a cuppa or even something stronger you’re after, it’s worth shunning the big names in favour of something a little bit different and all the more special at Ozone.

You can find Ozone at 11 Leonard Street, EC2A 4AQ
