Olympic Wellbeing

The Olympics and Paralympics have got everyone very excited about exercise and healthy eating! I was thinking about exercise and fitness and some of the things I do to keep my energy levels up during exercise. So here are my alkaline tips to give you energy while working out…

1. Try to snack on vegetables or nuts where possible throughout the day, especially before a work out. Ditch the chocolate and crisps and try to snack on some celery or a bag of almonds!

2. Eating quinoa as often as possible throughout the week will provide you with copious amounts of energy and help you to feel fresh throughout the week. It has the highest protein content out of all the grain as it is in fact a seed.
