Kicking off Positive Week 2017, we look to our brands to trust who go that extra mile to support the environment…
Seascape Island Apothecary products all feature natural ingredients sourced locally in Jersey. Jersey beeswax is found in all Seascape skincare and honey in their Les Petits and Maternity products. The honey used is from beekeeper Francois Le Luer’s apiary, nestled on the edge of a steep cliff above beautiful wild flower meadows. Milk from Jersey cows is used in soaps, and the lavender, eucalyptus and rosemary oil are from Jersey Lavender Farm, established 30 years ago. Seascape’s products are paraben, silicone, petroleum and SLS free. All bottles and packaging are recyclable, and product cartons and gift packs are made in the UK by an FSC accredited carbon-neutral supplier.

At the heart is Eco Centro, proving ground for the sustainable culture Soneva extols, where everything from the sun’s rays –the island is part-powered by solar panels – to fallen timber and driftwood is re-used. Serious goals for sustainability do not repress Soneva Fushi’s sense of fun. They enhance it. The proximity to nature, the innate respect for the ocean’s wonders and 24/7 bare feet, all help to enhance a feeling of liberation and inner peace.

Elvis & Kresse have been reclaiming heroic materials ever since they fell in love with the London Fire Brigade’s decommissioned fire-hose. After a distinguished career fighting fires and saving lives, the hoses were destined for landfill. Elvis & Kresse started to rescue them in 2005 and never looked back. 50% of the profits from the Fire Hose Range are donated to the Fire Fighters Charity. More materials soon followed; Kresse has always had an obsession with waste and likes nothing better than discovering and intercepting something new.
